In this help doc

AI Studios makes a video in which an AI avatar reads your script aloud. This doc walks you through your first video: start from a template, change the avatar, write the script, choose a voice, and then preview and export it.

Start from a template

To start from a template:

  1. On your dashboard, click Templates in the left menu.

  2. Click a template to preview it.

  3. Click Use template. The template opens in the editor as a new project, with its scenes, avatar, and sample script already in place.

Templates are grouped into categories. Click a category to show only the templates for that use:

  • All, Education & Training, Youtube & Tiktok, Business

  • Commerce, News, Marketing, Video Messages

Change the avatar

To change the avatar:

  1. In the editor, click Avatar in the left toolbar.

  2. Open the AI Avatars tab. To use an avatar you made yourself, open My Avatars instead.

  3. Click an avatar to see its looks.

  4. Click a look. It replaces the avatar in the scene you're editing.

💡 Tip: In AI Avatars, you can search by avatar name.

Note: Changing the avatar can also change the voice to that avatar's default voice. Check the voice button before you export.

Write your script

To write your script:

  1. Click the text in the script panel on the right side of the editor.

  2. Type what the avatar should say. The counter under the panel shows how much text you've used.

Note: Each scene has its own avatar and script. To edit another scene, click it in the scene list at the bottom of the editor and repeat the steps above. Scenes you don't change keep the template's avatar and sample script.

Choose a voice

To choose a voice:

  1. Click the voice button at the top of the script panel. It shows the name of the current voice.

  2. In Select AI Voice, narrow the list with the filters, for example by language (English).

  3. Click ▶ on a voice card to hear a sample.

  4. Click the voice to select it, then click Apply Voice.

You can narrow the voice list by:

  • Language, for example English.

  • Accent, for example United States, United Kingdom, or India.

  • Gender: Male, Female, or Non-binary.

  • Category: Commerce, Education, Audiobooks, Shorts, or News.

Preview your video

To preview your video:

  1. Click Play under the canvas. After you change the script or voice, you'll briefly see Generating voice… while the audio is prepared.

  2. Click Pause to stop.

Export your video

To export your video:

  1. Click Export in the top-right corner.

  2. In the Export Setting window, check the Predicted video duration, the Video credits needed, and the Video Quality.

  3. Click Export in this window to start rendering. Credits are used at this point.

Video Quality sets the output resolution:

  • 4K - Ultra HD

  • 1080P - Full HD (shown for a new project)

  • 720P - HD

  • 480P - Minimized

💡 Tip: Previewing with Play doesn't start an export. Credits are used when you confirm Export in the Export Setting window.

FAQ

When are credits used?
When you click Export inside the Export Setting window. Opening that window doesn't start an export, and it shows the Video credits needed before you confirm.

Can I change the voice after changing the avatar?
Yes. Open Select AI Voice from the voice button in the script panel and click Apply Voice on the voice you want.

How many credits will my video need?
It depends on the video length. The Export Setting window shows the Predicted video duration and the Video credits needed before you confirm. For example, a 0:41 video showed 0.68 credits. To compare plans and credits, see AI Studios pricing.
