Once created, your Video Avatar can be used across different AI videos. Simply enter a script without having to record yourself again.
Create a Video Avatar
Log in to AI Studios, go to Avatars, and select [Create Avatar].
There are three ways to create a Video Avatar.
1. Live Recording
Record a video for your avatar directly in AI Studios using your camera.
You can also change the script language to one that is easier for you to read.
Read the sample script displayed on the screen while recording. The recording takes approximately 30 seconds.
For the best results, follow these guidelines:
Use bright, even lighting so your face is clearly visible.
Position the camera at eye level and keep it stable.
Look directly at the camera and speak naturally.
Keep your mouth and face unobstructed.
Make sure only one person appears in the frame.
Pause briefly between sentences and naturally close your mouth.
Avoid overly fast or exaggerated movements.
Once you’ve finished recording, review your video before proceeding with avatar creation.
2. Upload a Video
You can also create a Video Avatar using a prerecorded video.
Upload a video in MP4, MOV, or WEBM format, up to 5 GB.
The video should feature only one person throughout, with their face clearly visible.
For a more natural-looking avatar, we recommend using a video that:
Clearly shows your face.
Shows you facing the camera and speaking naturally.
Has a stable camera with minimal shaking.
Has even lighting without strong shadows or backlighting on your face.
Does not include other people.
Keeps your face and mouth unobstructed by hands or objects.
Starts and ends with your mouth closed.
Consider the posture and movements you want your avatar to have when recording your video.
3. Upload a Photo
You can create a Video Avatar from just one photo, without recording a video.
Upload a photo with a clearly visible face, and AI will generate a video with natural movement. The generated video will then be used to create your Video Avatar.
For the best results, use a photo that:
Includes only one person.
Clearly shows the face.
Shows the person facing forward.
Keeps the face and mouth unobstructed.
Has a natural facial expression.
Does not use excessive filters or retouching.
Because the movements and expressions are generated by AI, results may vary depending on the photo and each generation.
Note: Generative credits are deducted when converting a photo into a video.
Set Up Your Avatar Information
After you upload or record a video, AI analyzes the person’s appearance and speaking style to automatically generate an Avatar Identity.
The Avatar Identity includes information such as Personality, Speaking Style, and Description. This information helps determine how your avatar speaks and expresses itself in generated videos.
You can edit any of the automatically generated information. If the analysis doesn’t accurately reflect the person or you’d like to try a different result, you can also use AI Re-analysis to generate it again.
Finally, review the Avatar Name and Avatar Identity information to complete the creation process.
Tips for Creating a Better Video Avatar
Look Naturally at the Camera
Try to face the camera directly and maintain a natural expression. Frequently turning your face or moving outside the frame may affect the quality of your avatar.
Pause Between Sentences
When you’re not speaking, naturally close your mouth. Clear speech and natural pauses can help produce more stable lip-sync results.
Use Natural Movements
Subtle head movements, facial expressions, and hand gestures can make your avatar feel more natural. Avoid movements that are too fast or exaggerated.
Check Your Recording Environment
Record in a well-lit environment where your face is clearly visible. Avoid strong backlighting, harsh shadows, and camera shake.
Keep Only One Person in the Frame
Other faces in the video may affect the avatar creation process. We recommend keeping only the person you want to turn into an avatar in the recording or uploaded video.
Use Your Video Avatar
Once your Video Avatar is ready, you can select it when creating videos in AI Studios.
Enter your script and select a voice to create a video of your avatar delivering your content.
Rights and Responsibilities When Creating an Avatar
You must own the rights to any photos or videos used to create an avatar or have the appropriate permission to use them.
Using another person’s photo or video without permission, or using content that infringes copyright, publicity, or other rights, may result in restrictions under applicable laws and AI Studios policies.
Before creating an avatar, make sure you have obtained all necessary rights and consent for the content you upload.
