Step 1. Create a new avatar
From the AI Studios sidebar, go to Avatars.
In the My Avatars tab, click Create Avatar in the upper-right corner.
Step 2. Select Photo Avatar
On the Create Avatar screen, select Photo Avatar to continue.
Step 3. Upload a photo
On the Create a Photo Avatar screen, drag and drop a photo or click the upload area to select a file. Supported formats are JPG, PNG, and WEBP, with a maximum file size of 20MB.
For better results, we recommend using a photo that follows these guidelines.

One clear photo of a single person
Face fully visible and centered
Good lighting and a natural appearance
High-resolution photo
Avoid
Group photos or photos with multiple faces
Sunglasses, masks, or other items covering the face
Heavy filters or excessive editing
Blurry, dark, or low-quality photos
After uploading, review the photo on screen. To use a different image, hover over the uploaded photo and click Replace Photo.
When you're ready, click Submit.
Step 4. Review your avatar details
The Review Avatar Setup screen will appear based on your uploaded photo.
Here, you can review the avatar name and the details analyzed by AI, and edit them if needed.
Avatar Name: A name to identify your avatar
Personality: The avatar's overall personality and impression
Speaking Style: How the avatar speaks and expresses itself
Description: Details about the avatar's appearance, expressions, gestures, and other characteristics
Avatar Identity details are optional. If the AI-generated information doesn't match what you want, you can edit it manually or click AI-analyze to analyze the identity again.
AI analysis may not be perfect.
Review the avatar name and identity details before creating your avatar, and edit them as needed.
Step 5. Confirm consent and create your Photo Avatar
To create the avatar, you must confirm that you are the person shown in the uploaded media or that you have permission from the person shown to create and use the avatar.
Select the consent checkbox to enable the Create Avatar button. After reviewing the information, click Create Avatar.
Step 6. View and manage your Photo Avatar
Once your Photo Avatar is created, you can find it under Avatars > My Avatars.
Select the avatar card to open its details page. From here, you can manage the avatar's styles, voice, and identity information.
Change voice: Click the voice menu in the upper-right corner and select a voice from My Voices or AI Voice.
Add a style: Click Add Style to add a new style to the same Avatar Identity.
Edit Avatar Identity: Open the More (···) menu in the upper-right corner to edit the Avatar Identity information.
These settings are not fixed when the avatar is created. You can update the voice and identity information later to suit how you want to use the avatar.
FAQ
Q. What kind of photo should I use?
We recommend a high-resolution photo of one person facing the camera with their full face clearly visible. For more reliable results, use a well-lit photo without face-covering accessories or heavy filters.
Q. Can I create a Photo Avatar of someone other than myself?
Yes, but only if you have the appropriate permission or authorization to create and use an avatar of that person. You must confirm this during the avatar creation process.
Q. Can I change my Photo Avatar settings after creating it?
Yes. From the avatar details page, you can change the voice and Avatar Identity or add new styles.
