How to Animate Images, Videos, Text, & Objects
This works for most on-screen design elements, including images, videos, text, and objects. You cannot animate how avatars enter the scene.
Step 1: Locate the Animate Button
To animate any image, video, text box, or object, simply select the element you want to animate. Once selected, click the "Animate" button that appears in the top menu.
Step 2: Choose Your Animation Style
After clicking the Animate button, a menu will appear on the left side showing all available animations. Hover over each animation to preview how it will look in the design field. Once you find one you like, click on it to apply it to the selected element.
Step 3: Adjust Animation Settings
Once you’ve selected your animation, you can customize it further:
Duration: Controls how fast or slow the animation happens. A shorter duration makes it faster, while a longer duration makes it slower.
Direction: Decides which way the animation moves (e.g., left, right, up, down).
Delay: Adds a pause before the animation starts, helping it sync better with other parts of your video.
Easing: Adds dynamic movement effects, changing how the animation starts, speeds up, and slows down, making it feel more fluid and natural.
How to Use In-Script Animated Effects for Interactive Voiceovers
In-script animation markers let you trigger animations at specific points in your voiceover, ideal for guiding the audience’s attention to key areas on screen.
Step 1: Insert an Effect Marker
Click on the part of the script where you want the animation to trigger.
Step 2: Access the Effects Menu
At the bottom of the text editor, you’ll see the Effects button (represented by a magic wand icon). Click on it to open the available animations.
Step 3: Choose Your Animation
Select the animation you want to add. (Note: Only elements shown in the pop-up menu work using this feature.)
Step 4: Preview the Animation
Click the Preview button in the upper-right corner of the video editor to see how the animation looks. The preview may take 1-5 minutes to load, and keep in mind that avatars will not animate during the preview—they will only start moving after the video is exported.
