With support for over 150 languages and a wide range of high-quality AI voices, AI Studios gives you full control over how your avatar speaks. Whether you're producing a professional training video, a localized product demo, or a personalized message, you can fine-tune the voice, language, and accent to match your audience. You can even use a custom voice clone if you want something personal and unique.

How to Change AI Voices in AI Studios

1. Open a project

Start by logging into AI Studios and opening a video project. You can either:

  • Create a new video from your dashboard

  • Open an existing video you’ve already been working on

2. Open the voice settings

Look at the top-right corner of the script box. You’ll see a dropdown labeled something like [Model name] – Original Voice. This shows the current voice assigned to your avatar.

Click the dropdown to open the list of available voices.

3. Choose and preview a voice

Scroll through the voice list to explore different options. You can click the play button next to each one to hear a sample. You’ll find:

  • A variety of tones and voice styles

  • Both male and female options

  • Any custom voice clones you’ve uploaded

When you find a voice you like, click Apply Voice. This sets the selected voice for your video script.

4. Type your script in any language

Once your voice is selected, start typing your script directly into the editor. AI Studios will automatically detect the language of your text.

There’s no need to manually set the language. Just make sure the script is written correctly in one of the 150 supported languages.

Note: Every voice can read in any language.

5. Select an accent or dialect (optional)

Some languages have multiple dialects or regional variations. If the voice you selected supports accent customization, a Default Locale dropdown will appear next to the voice menu.

Use this to select the correct accent or regional variation for your script. For example:

  • Mandarin Chinese vs. Cantonese

  • Canadian French vs. France French

  • Mexican Spanish vs. Spain Spanish

Choosing the right accent helps ensure correct pronunciation, natural rhythm, and improved clarity for native speakers. If you mismatch the dialect and the script, some words may sound off or lose their intended meaning.

Then select Only This Script to apply the accent to the current slide, or choose Apply All to apply the accent to every slide in the video project.

AI Voices Best Practices

  • Keep your script in one language to ensure proper language detection and voice matching. However, the TTS will still work even with multiple languages in one script.

  • Preview the full voiceover to check for clarity, pacing, and pronunciation before finalizing.

  • If you need a consistent brand voice across languages, consider using a custom voice clone.

Translate a Script into Another Language

To translate your script, use AI Studios’ Translation Tool in the editor. It will automatically convert both your voiceover and on-screen text into the selected language. For detailed steps, see our full guide on translating videos.

Troubleshooting

Why isn’t AI detecting my language correctly?
Make sure your script is clearly written in the target language. If your language shares the same writing system as another (like Dutch in Belgium vs. the Netherlands), you may need to manually select the correct locale using the Default Locale menu.

What if I don’t like the selected voice?
AI Studios offers hundreds of voice options. If you're not satisfied, try another voice with a different tone or accent. You can also re-record your custom voice clone in a quiet space for better quality. When recording a clone, exaggerate emotions slightly as AI may naturally reduce them.
