If your AI avatar is mispronouncing a word, like a brand name, place, or less common term, you can use AI Studios' built-in Dictionary Tool to improve pronunciation. This feature lets you rewrite the word using phonetic spelling so it sounds the way you want in the final video.
How to Fix Mispronounced Words in AI Studios
Step 1: Highlight the word
In the script editor, highlight the word that isn’t being pronounced correctly.
Step 2: Open the Dictionary Tool
Click the æ button at the bottom of the script box. This opens the Dictionary Tool where you can enter a custom pronunciation.
Step 3: Enter a phonetic spelling
Type the word the way it should sound, using familiar English syllables. For example:
Rural → Roo ral
Omission → Oh mish un
You can use spaces between syllables to make the pronunciation clearer.
Step 4: Preview the new pronunciation
Click the audio preview under the main video editor to listen to how your avatar says the adjusted word. Make sure to click the refresh button to generate an updated preview. If it doesn’t sound right, try different phonetic variations until it does.
Modified words will appear underlined in your script so you can easily spot custom pronunciations.
