1. What is Brand Dictionary?

Brand Dictionary is a feature that helps you maintain consistent pronunciation and translation rules across your projects.

You can predefine pronunciation and translation rules and apply them consistently in Projects, AI Dubbing, and other supported features.

With Brand Dictionary, you can:

  • Fix the pronunciation of brand names, product names, and proper nouns.

  • Define 1:1 translation rules for specific words.

  • Share and apply saved rules across Team Workspaces.

2. Getting Started with Brand Dictionary

Step 1. Create a New Dictionary

  1. Click the Brand Dictionary menu.

  2. Click Add New.

  3. A new Brand Dictionary will be created.

You can create multiple Brand Dictionaries within a single account or team.

Step 2. Manage Your Dictionary

Click the ⋯ (More) menu on the top-right of each Brand Dictionary card to manage it.

  • Duplicate

Create a copy of the selected dictionary.

  • Rename

Change the dictionary name. Duplicate names are not allowed.

  • Delete

Permanently delete the dictionary and all its rules. Deleted data cannot be restored.

3. Setting Up Pronunciation (Fixing TTS Reading)

Pronunciation rules define how a word should be read in TTS output.

Step 1. Select the Pronunciation Tab

Open your Brand Dictionary and select the Pronunciation tab.

Step 2. Enter the Word

  • Original word: Select the original language and enter the word.

  • Spoken as: Enter how the word should be read.
Write pronunciation based on how it should sound.
    (Example: “AI Studios” → “A-I STU-dee-ohs”)

Step 3. Preview and Save

Click the preview button to test the pronunciation.

Then click Add to save the rule.

Notes

  • Enter single words or short phrases only. Avoid full sentences.

  • The Brand Dictionary must be selected in a project for the rules to apply.

4. Setting Up Translation (Fixing Word Translation)

Translation rules allow you to define a fixed 1:1 translation for specific words.

Step 1. Select the Translation Tab

Step 2. Enter the Original Language and Word

Step 3. Select the Target Language and Enter the Target Word

Each rule supports one original word to one target word (1:1 only).

5. Setting Up Keep Original (Exclude from Translation)

Keep Original allows you to preserve specific words unchanged across all translation languages.

Step 1. Go to the Keep Original Section

Step 2. Enter the Original Word and Add

Words added here will remain unchanged during translation.

Keep Original words cannot duplicate existing Translation rules for the same original word.

6. Bulk Upload via CSV

You can upload multiple rules at once using CSV files.

Each rule type must be uploaded using a separate CSV file.

Supported types:

  • Pronunciation CSV

  • Translation CSV

  • Keep Original CSV

File format: .csv / Maximum file size: 5MB

After uploading, you can review errors and duplicates in the preview screen before applying the rules.
