How do I use Bulk Synthesis?

Bulk Synthesis makes many videos from one template by using a spreadsheet, with one video for each row. This doc shows how to open Bulk Synthesis, choose a template, fill in the sample spreadsheet, and upload it to preview and export your videos.

Note: Bulk Synthesis is an Enterprise plan feature.

Open Bulk Synthesis

To open Bulk Synthesis:

  1. On the dashboard, click Apps in the left sidebar.

  2. Click Education & Business, then click Bulk Synthesis.

  3. A How to Use window explains the three steps: Select Template, File Upload, and Preview. Click Skip to close it.

💡 Tip: You can also type "bulk" in Find a feature at the top of the dashboard and select Bulk Synthesis.

Choose a template

To choose a template:

  1. Browse the templates. You can filter them by use case, such as Education & Training, and by Landscape or Portrait.

  2. Click a template to preview it. To see which parts you can change, such as the script, click View Editable Areas.

  3. Click Create Bulk Videos.

Note: You can also use your own custom template. Every template for Bulk Synthesis, including custom ones, must include the tag information it needs. To make one, see How do I create a custom video template?

Fill in the spreadsheet

To prepare your data:

  1. Click Download Sample to download the Excel file for your template.

  2. Open the file and add one row for each video you want, below the sample row.

  3. Save it as an .xlsx file.

Each column is one part of the video you can change:

  • The number at the start of a column header is the scene number. For example, #1_Script is the script of scene 1.

  • Red columns (Model and Voice) set the avatar and voice.

  • Green columns (TextImage) set text shown on screen. The avatar doesn't read it.

  • Blue columns (Image) replace an image in the template. Add images as Google Drive sharing links. JPEG, PNG, and GIF files up to 5MB are supported.

  • Gray columns (Script) set what the avatar says.

Note: The first row, marked (Sample) and shaded gray, is only an example. It isn't made into a video, so keep it and add your rows below it.

Note: Don't delete or rename the column headers. They are made to match the template, and changing them can cause errors.

Upload the file and preview

To upload your file and check the result:

  1. Click Upload File and select your file, then click Next.

  2. The preview shows the first row of your file in the template. Check the script and the scenes.

  3. To review a sample before you make all the videos, click Export Test Video.

  4. Click Export. The Export Setting window shows the predicted video duration and the credits needed. Review them before you confirm.

Note: If the app can't use your file, you see "Check the uploaded file and retry." Click the download icon next to the file name. In the downloaded file, cells to fix are highlighted in red, with a comment such as "Please check the Voice value again."

Can I use custom avatars and voice clones?
Yes. You can use your custom avatars and voice clones in Bulk Synthesis.

Where do I find Bulk Synthesis?
On the dashboard, go to Apps and look under Education & Business. You can also search for it in Find a feature.

How many videos are made?
One video for each row you add below the sample row.

Which file types can I upload?
Excel files (.xlsx or .xls).

Can I upload images from my computer?
No. Put a Google Drive sharing link for each image in the blue Image column.
