In an AI interview, an AI interviewer asks you questions on camera, and your answers are recorded and evaluated for the hiring team. This doc shows what to prepare, how to start the interview, and what happens while you answer.

Before you start

Open the interview link the company sent you on a computer with a camera and a microphone. The page shows the job, the AI interviewer, the number of questions, and the time limit.

  • Take the interview somewhere quiet, with a stable internet connection.

  • Adjust your camera so your face is visible on screen.

  • Read the instructions on the page. They tell you how long to aim for each answer.

Note: If you stop after starting, you may not be able to take the interview again.

Start the interview

To start:

  1. Enter your Name and Email. If you received a personal invitation, they may already be filled in.

  2. Check the box to agree that the interview is recorded (video and audio) and that AI evaluates your answers and sends a report to the hiring team.

  3. Click Start interview.

Answer the questions

The AI interviewer asks the questions one by one, with captions. While you answer:

  • The top right shows the question number, the time left, and how long you've been answering the current question.

  • When you finish an answer, pause for 3ā€“4 seconds or click Done answering to move on.

  • To stop early, click End interview and confirm. Your answers so far are evaluated.

When the interview is over, you see that the interview is complete. Your recording and answers go to the hiring team as a report.

FAQ

Do I need to install anything?
No. The interview runs in your web browser. You need a camera and a microphone.

Is my face video analyzed?
During the interview, face and gaze information is recorded as reference numbers only. No video is stored or sent for this analysis.

Can I retake the interview?
It depends on the link. A personal invitation can be used once, within 14 days. If the interview is interrupted, you can restart it up to 3 times. If you stop on purpose after starting, you may not be able to take it again.

Do I have to pay?
No. Candidates don't pay for AI interviews.
