This allows you to adjust the subtitle font, size, and text styling before exporting the final video.

Step 1: Generate an AI Dubbing video without subtitles

Upload your video to AI Dubbing and configure the language and dubbing options you need.

Under Advanced Options, make sure Add Subtitles is turned off, then click Export.

💡 Note: If Add Subtitles is enabled, subtitles will be embedded directly into the exported video. To apply a different subtitle style in the Editor, make sure Add Subtitles is turned off before exporting.

Step 2: Download the video and subtitle files

Once the AI Dubbing process is complete, open the generated video.

From the Download menu on the right, download both of the following files:

  • Download Video (.mp4)

  • Download Subtitles (.srt)

You will add both files to the AI Studios Editor in the next steps.

Step 3: Create a new Blank Project

From the AI Studios Dashboard, click New Project.

In the Create new project window, click + New Blank Project.

When the Blank Project opens, delete the default Avatar from the scene.

Step 4: Add the dubbed video to the Editor

From the left menu in the Editor, select Asset.

Click Upload image/video/audio files, then upload the MP4 file you downloaded in Step 2.

Select the uploaded video to add it to the scene.

Step 5: Upload the SRT subtitle file

From the left menu, select Captions.

Click Captions Upload (.srt), then upload the SRT file you downloaded in Step 2.

After the file is uploaded, you can review the subtitle text and timing in the Transcript tab.

If needed, you can edit individual subtitle text directly.

Step 6: Edit the subtitle style

Go to Captions → Style.

Choose a preset Caption Style, or use the Text Style options at the top to customize the subtitles.

You can adjust options such as:

  • Font / Size / Color

  • Bold / Italic / Underline

Step 7: Export the final video

When you are finished editing, click Export in the upper-right corner of the Editor.

The final video will keep the AI Dubbing audio and video while applying the subtitle style you configured in the Editor.

FAQ

Q. I already generated a dubbed video with ‘Add Subtitles’ enabled. Can I still change the subtitle style?

No. When ‘Add Subtitles’ is enabled, the subtitles are embedded directly into the video. Embedded subtitles cannot be edited or removed separately in the editor. To change the subtitle style, generate the dubbed video again with ‘Add Subtitles’ disabled.

Q. Can I edit the subtitle text in the SRT file?

Yes. After uploading the SRT file to the editor, you can review and edit the subtitle text in Captions > Transcript.

Q. Can I change the subtitle font and size?

Yes. In Style, you can choose a subtitle style or customize settings such as the font, size, bold, italic, and underline.

Q. Will changing the subtitle style regenerate the dubbed audio or video?

No. This method combines the already generated AI Dubbing video with the subtitle file in the editor and only changes the subtitle style. The dubbed audio and video remain unchanged.

Q. Do I need to download both the MP4 and SRT files?

Yes. You’ll need the MP4 file for the dubbed video without embedded subtitles and the SRT file for the subtitles you want to edit.
