Video Translation translates the script and on-screen text of a video you made in the AI Studios editor. This doc shows how to translate a project into one language and edit it, and how to export several languages at once.
Note: Video Translation is available on the Team plan and above. To translate a video that wasn't made in AI Studios, use AI Dubbing instead.
Translate a project into one language
Use this when you want to check and edit the translation before you export.
In the editor, click
Translationnext to the project name at the top.Under
Original projectyou see the current language. UnderTranslation, find the language you want.Click the translate button next to that language. Languages you already translated show
Complete.
A translated copy of the project is created and opens in the editor. The original and its translations are kept together in one folder. Edit the translated script and on-screen text as needed, then export it like any other project.
To go back to the original or to another translation, open the Translation menu again and choose that language.
Translate into several languages when you export
Use this to export several translated videos at once, without editing them first.
Click
Exportat the top right.In
Export Setting, clickLanguageand add the languages you want. Languages you already translated in theTranslationmenu are included automatically. You can choose up to 10, and each language is exported as a separate video. To keep the original on-screen text and translate only the voice, turn on
Only translate script.Check the predicted duration, the number of videos, and the credits needed, then click
Export.
When the videos are ready, you'll find them in Projects. It may take a little while.
Note: Translating the full video can change text timing and layout, which may cause text to overflow or look distorted. Turn on Only translate script to translate the audio only.
FAQ
Why did my translated video fail?
If the translated script makes the video longer than the original, generation can fail. Edit the translation and shorten the script so it fits your plan's limits.
The translation doesn't sound right. What can I do?
Translations may miss some nuances. Translate the project into one language first, then edit the script. You can use the AI script assistant to adjust tone and formality.
Translation isn't available. Why?
On plans below Team, the feature is locked. If you're on a supported plan, the AI translation service may be temporarily unavailable. Try again later.
