Script to Video turns your own text, such as a script, blog post, or article, into a video with an AI avatar and narration. This doc shows how to open Script to Video, add your script, check it scene by scene, and set the video options before you generate the video.

Open Script to Video

To open Script to Video:

  1. On the dashboard, click Apps in the left menu.

  2. Click Youtube & TikTok, then click Script to Video.

  3. The Text to Video page opens with the Script to Video tab selected.

The steps at the top of the page show where you are: Input Text, Check Script, Set Options, and Preview.

Add your script

To add your script:

  1. Paste your script, blog post, article, or notes into the box. You can enter up to 15,000 characters. To see examples, click View Samples.

  2. Choose AI-generated script or Use my own script.

  3. Under Content Settings, set the Language, Duration, and Speed.

  4. Keep Check and edit the script before generating the video. selected, and click Next.

The script options are:

  • AI-generated script: AI uses your text to write a new script for video and splits it into scenes.

  • Use my own script: your text is used exactly as you wrote it. Each paragraph becomes one scene.

With AI-generated script, you can also guide the new script. Choose a Prompt type, and click Audience and Tone to describe who the video is for and how it should sound.

💡 Tip: Use AI-generated script for smoother narration for a broad audience. Use my own script when the exact wording matters, such as legal content, formal statements, or pre-approved scripts.

Check the script by scene

To review the script:

  1. In the Check Script step, each scene is shown as SCENE 1, SCENE 2, and so on. Click the text to edit a scene.

  2. Enter a TITLE for the video.

  3. To have AI rewrite the script, describe the change in the box at the bottom and click Re-Generate.

  4. Click Next.

Note: If you clear the script check box in the first step, the Check Script step is skipped.

Set the video options

To set the options under Video Preset:

  1. Media Source: choose where the media for each scene comes from.

  2. If you choose Generative, choose AI Images or AI Videos under Media Type, and then pick a Style.

  3. Under Template, choose landscape or portrait, and then pick a template.

  4. Under Avatar, pick an avatar. For a video without an avatar, select Voice Only.

  5. Click Generate to build the preview.

The Media Source menu has:

  • Search: finds media related to your script.

  • Free Stock: free stock images and videos.

  • Premium Stock: premium stock images and videos.

  • Generative: AI creates an image or video for each scene from its script.

Note: Generative media uses Generative Credits. The page shows the estimated usage, and the credits are deducted when video synthesis begins in the next step. Learn more about Generative Credits.

With AI Videos, choose Basic or Advanced. Each card shows the most credits it can use. To use higher-quality AI media, turn on Enable High-Quality AI Media.

Preview and export

To finish your video:

  1. In the Preview step, your scenes are created one by one. This takes up to about 5 minutes.

  2. Click a scene's media or text to edit it. To use different media, click Replace and choose stock, uploaded, or AI media.

  3. To change the media, template, or avatar, click Change Options.

  4. Click Export to create the final video. To make more detailed edits first, click Editor to open the video in the AI Studios editor.

Note: If you chose AI Videos, the preview shows only the image for each scene. The AI video is created when you start exporting, so the export can take longer.

Note: Changing the options may remove generative images that were already created. Generative Credits are charged again when new generative media is created.

FAQ

What's the difference between AI-generated script and Use my own script?
With AI-generated script, AI writes a new script for video from your text and splits it into scenes. With Use my own script, your text is not rewritten, and each paragraph becomes a scene.

How long can my script be?
Up to 15,000 characters. A script needs at least 100 characters.

Can I edit the scenes and the script?
Yes. You can edit each scene in the Check Script step, and you can change the media and text of each scene in the preview.

I chose AI Videos. Why do I only see an image in the preview?
The AI video is created when you start exporting. The preview shows the starting image for each scene, and you can see the motion in the finished video.

Why is my video taking a long time to generate?
Generation time depends on the script length, the number of scenes, and the media type. Videos with AI video take longer because the AI video is made during export.

Where did the dashboard text box for Script to Video go?
The text box at the top of the dashboard now starts Video Agent. To use Script to Video, open it from Apps.
