What is Topic to Video?
Topic to Video is an AI-powered tool in AI Studios that turns your ideas into complete video drafts in just a few minutes. Simply type your topic, and AI Studios will generate a custom script, create relevant video scenes, and add narration with an AI avatar.
This tool makes video creation simple and fast, making it ideal for turning concepts into polished content without needing production tools or editing experience.
How to Use Topic to Video
Step 1: Open Topic to Video
There are two ways to access the tool:
Option 1: From the Marketing tab
Open the Marketing tab on the AI Studios dashboard
Scroll to the right and click on Topic to Video
Option 2: From the main dashboard input bar
Type your video idea into the text bar
Make sure the tool selected is Topic to Video
Choose the general purpose of your video:
Tiktok / Shorts / Reels
Business
Education
Click the arrow button to move to the next step
Step 2: Enter and Customize Your Video Prompt
Type a clear and specific prompt describing your video idea (up to 100 characters). The more detail you provide, the better the output.

"Produce a video showcasing five top tourist attractions in Paris with brief facts for each."
"Develop a video that outlines HIPAA compliance for consultants covering data privacy rules."

Step 3: Choose Video Language and Duration
Select your preferred video language from the Language drop-down menu. AI Studios supports over 150 languages and accents
Then, choose the desired video length using the Duration drop-down menu
Step 4: Customize the Script Prompt
You can adjust the video duration and guide the AI with extra prompts to improve the script.
Use the following options to shape your video:
Objective – Define the main purpose of the video (for example, to explain a concept)
Audience – Choose who the video is for (such as beginners or professionals)
Tone – Select the style or mood (friendly, formal, casual, etc.)
Speed – Set the narration pace (for example, 1.0 for normal speed)
Step 5: Select Image and Video Style
Use the Media Source drop-down to decide how visuals will be added:
Search – AI searches the web for matching visuals
Free Stock – Browse free media from Pixabay
Premium Stock – Use high-quality visuals from Shutterstock
Generative – Create unique images based on your prompt. Choose from styles like realistic, watercolor, or pixel art
Generative+ – For advanced, high-resolution visuals. Enable High-Quality AI Media to activate this option (uses generative credits)
Step 6: Choose a Template and Avatar
Choose the video template and the AI avatar you want to use. Use the Template drop-down to filter by format:
YouTube and TikTok
Business
Education
Then, select the avatar who will present your video. You can use a stock avatar or one of your own.
Both the template and avatar can be changed later if needed.
Step 7: Preview and Edit the Draft
After clicking Next, AI Studios will generate a preview of your video draft. You’ll see the selected images, script, and narration. At this stage, the avatar will not yet appear animated.
You can:
Edit the script by clicking on the text
Change visuals by clicking on a scene
Open the full video editor for detailed changes
If you would like to make make detailed changes to the video, click on the Editor button and it will guide you to AI Studios full AI Video editor.
And if you are unhappy with the overall video and would like to redo the entire draft, click on Change Options.
Step 8: Export and Finalize Your Video
Once you're happy with the draft, click Export. The final version will include the AI avatar voiceover and animations. You can return to the editor to make changes even after exporting.
Why Topic to Video Might Not Work
If the tool isn’t working as expected, here are possible reasons:
Inappropriate Prompt – Prompts that violate our terms of service won't be processed
Not Enough Details – Vague prompts result in generic or low-quality videos
Niche or Current Topics – Very specific or recent topics may lack enough data
Unsupported Language – Some languages may not be fully supported yet
Complex Concepts – Overly technical topics may need simpler phrasing
Prompt Too Long – Keep your input concise and focused
File Upload Issues – If using attachments, make sure they are supported and not corrupted
AI Downtime – Temporary outages with external AI services can delay processing
Limited Visuals – Some abstract topics may not produce relevant images
