In this help doc

Interactive coaching adds a button below a shared video so that an AI avatar can check what viewers took from the video and answer their questions. This doc shows where to turn it on, what viewers see, and how to review each learner's results.

Turn on Interactive coaching

Interactive coaching is controlled in two places: an account setting for all your shared videos, and a switch on each shared video.

To check the account setting:

  1. Click your profile icon at the top right, then click Profile.

  2. Under Interactive Coaching, make sure Enable Interactive Coaching is on.

Note: When this setting is off, the coaching button is hidden on all your shared videos.

Each shared video page also has an Interactive coaching switch in its Share panel. Only the video's owner sees it. Turn it off for videos that aren't meant for training.

To see where the switch is, open one of the sample videos:

  1. Click Interactive coaching in the Interactive Avatar menu, hover over a sample video, and click View Video.

  2. In the Share panel on the right, find Interactive coaching and its switch.

What viewers see

Below the video, viewers see an Interactive coaching button: "An avatar checks what you took from this video, and answers your questions."

When a viewer clicks it, the message Preparing your coaching session appears. It takes about 15 seconds, and then the coaching session starts:

  • The avatar instructor asks questions about the key points of the video, one at a time. The top of the screen shows the question number, the progress, and the time.

  • The viewer answers in their own words, by voice or by typing.

  • The viewer can also ask their own questions about the video.

  • To finish, the viewer clicks End session. Their report opens.

💡 Tip: To try it yourself, hover over a video in Interactive coaching and click Start Coaching Session. The three sample videos are ready to try.

Review coaching results

To review results:

  1. Click Interactive coaching in the left menu. It lists the videos people have taken coaching on.

  2. Click All coaching results to see every session with the Learner, Understood (key points understood), Score, and Date. You can search by video name in Search videos.

  3. Click View report on a session.

The coaching report shows:

  • Question by question: each key point, its meaning, what the learner said, and where it came from in the video.

  • What to do next: a suggestion for the learner's next step.

  • Score: out of 100, with How this score is made up.

  • Questions you asked: the learner's questions and the avatar's answers.

  • Fix: for points the learner missed, the correct explanation. The report also has Watch the video again.

FAQ

Do viewers need an account to take coaching?
Yes. Anyone with the link can watch the video, but coaching asks viewers to sign up or sign in first.

Who pays for coaching?
The video's owner. Coaching uses the interactive avatar credits of the account that owns the video. Viewers don't pay. For details, see How Does Interactive Avatar Pricing Work?

Is Interactive coaching the same as Role Play?
No. Interactive coaching checks what viewers learned from a video. Role Play has learners practice a conversation from a scenario.
