Getting Started with Interactive Video Quizzes for a Smart Video Experience in AI STUDIOS

Quizzes let viewers answer questions while they watch, and the video can branch based on their answers. This doc shows how to add a quiz to a scene, choose the question type and logic, and add a results screen.

Note: Quizzes are available on the Enterprise plan. If your subscription ends, your existing videos are kept, but quizzes are left out when you edit or export new work.

Add a quiz to a scene

Add the quiz where you want viewers to answer, for example after you explain a concept, before a transition, or at the end as a review.

  1. Select the scene.

  2. In the left menu, click Interaction. A quiz is added to the scene and the Quiz panel opens.

  3. Click the question and the answers on the canvas to type them. You can add answers and drag them to change the order.

  4. To mark the correct answer, click the check box next to it.

The Quiz panel also has:

  • Toggle quiz visibility: hides the quiz while you edit other elements. Hidden quizzes are still included in the exported video.

  • Theme Color, Shape, and Fonts: style the quiz. These apply to all quiz components.

  • Practice Mode: shows the correct answer without affecting the score, so viewers can check their answer right away.

  • Exposure of correct answer: shows the answer before the next quiz. You can turn it off when Practice Mode is off.

  • Layout: places the quiz on the side of the scene or across the full scene.

Choose the question type and logic

To set how the question works:

  1. In Type, choose Single choice or Multiple choice.

  2. In Logic, choose Always to always go to one scene, or If to branch on the answer.

  3. With If, set the condition, for example Answer Is A. Click Add condition to combine conditions, then choose the scenes in Then go to and Else go to.

For example, if the answer is correct, go to the next lesson. If it's wrong, go to a review scene.

Note: If your logic can't send viewers down the correct path, the panel shows "This logic blocks the correct path. Please adjust." Avoid conditions that contradict each other, conditions with no Else scene, and logic where Then and Else go to the same scene.

Add a results screen

To show viewers their score at the end:

  1. Add a quiz to the scene where you want the results, as above.

  2. In Type, choose Result.

  3. Enter the Passing score as a percentage.

  4. To let viewers try again, turn on Allow Retry. Retry takes them back to the first quiz and resets their score.

How viewers see quizzes

  • The quiz covers the video, and viewers answer it to move on.

  • If viewers go back, questions they answered show their submitted answers.

  • Retry starts them over from the first quiz.

When you're done, share the video with a link, embed it, or export it as a SCORM package to track quiz results in an LMS such as Moodle, SAP SuccessFactors, or Docebo.

FAQ

Do practice questions count toward the score?
No. In Practice Mode, viewers see whether they're right without affecting their score.

Is a hidden quiz left out of my video?
No. Toggle quiz visibility only hides it while you edit. Hidden quizzes are still in the exported video.
