Uploading custom fonts allows you to add your brand’s typography to your AI Studios projects, ensuring consistency across videos, presentations, and other materials. Whether you're aiming to reinforce your brand identity or simply need a specific style, customizing your fonts is easy with AI Studios.

Note: Custom font uploads are available only for Teams and Enterprise plans.

How to Upload Custom Fonts

Step 1: Access Your Brand Kit

Open an existing project or start a new one in AI Studios. Then, go to the Asset tab on the left-hand side menu and scroll down to the Brand Assets section.

Step 2: Locate Font Options

In the Brand Kit, find the Fonts tab or section, and click on Upload Font or Add + to proceed.

Step 3: Choose Your Font File

Select the font file from your computer. AI Studios supports .ttf and .otf font formats.

Step 4: Upload and Confirm

Confirm that you have the rights to use the font, then proceed with the upload. The font will be processed and added to your Brand Assets under the Fonts section.

Step 5: Apply the Font to Your Projects

When creating videos, your custom font will now appear in the text editor under the font dropdown menu, making it easy to apply to any text in your projects.

Best Practices for Using Custom Fonts

  • Choose fonts that match your brand’s personality: Select fonts that align with your brand’s image and tone. For example, a bold, modern font might suit a tech brand, while a more classic or elegant font may be better for luxury brands. Consistency in typography across all your materials helps strengthen brand recognition.

  • Prioritize readability: Ensure your font is easy to read, even at smaller sizes or on various screen types. A font that's stylish but hard to read can hurt user experience, especially in video content where clarity is key.

  • Keep font choices simple: Limit the number of different fonts used in a project to avoid visual clutter. It’s best to stick to one or two fonts: one for headings and another for body text. This keeps your design clean and professional.

  • Use fonts that are optimized for screen display: Choose fonts designed for digital use. These fonts typically have better legibility and spacing when viewed on screens of various sizes.

  • Ensure consistency across all materials: Upload the same custom fonts to maintain a cohesive look across your videos, presentations, and any other marketing materials. This uniformity helps reinforce your brand’s identity.

  • Check licensing rights: Always make sure you have the proper licensing for the fonts you upload, especially if you plan to use them in commercial projects. This ensures you avoid legal issues related to copyright infringement.

Things to Avoid When Uploading Custom Fonts

  • Avoid using overly decorative fonts for body text: While decorative fonts can look appealing for headings or titles, they can be hard to read in longer paragraphs. Stick to clean, readable fonts for body text to ensure your audience can easily absorb your message.

  • Don’t use too many different fonts: Using multiple fonts in one project can create visual chaos. Stick to one or two complementary fonts for a more cohesive and professional look.

  • Avoid fonts that are not web or screen-optimized: Some fonts look great in print but may not display well on digital screens. Be sure the fonts you use are optimized for digital viewing to ensure legibility across all devices.
