How do I use the text to speech generator?

Text to Speech turns a short script into an AI voice that you can download or use in a new video. This doc shows how to enter a script, choose a voice, and generate the audio.

Try this feature

Enter your script

To open Text to Speech and enter a script:

  1. Go to Apps, and under AI Voices, click Text to Speech.

  2. Replace the sample text with your script. You can enter up to 300 characters at a time.

Choose a voice

To choose a voice:

  1. Click the voice button above the script, such as Ian - Original Voice. The Select AI Voice window opens.

  2. Choose a voice from Recommended AI Voice or Other AI Voice. Your own cloned voices are under My Voices.

  3. Click Apply Voice.

💡 Tip: To make a voice from your own recordings, click Create Voice under My Voices.

Generate the voice

Click Generate AI Voice. The voice is ready in a few moments. Then you can:

  • Click the play button to listen to it.

  • Click Change Script to edit the script or switch voices and try again.

  • Click Download Voice to save the audio file.

  • Click Apply to video to start a new project with this voice.

FAQ

How long can my script be?
Up to 300 characters at a time. For longer audio, generate it in parts or use the video editor.

Can I use my own voice?
Yes. Voices you create with Voice Cloning appear under My Voices.
