What is a Video Converter?

The Video Converter in AI Studios allows you to convert a video file into another video format or into an audio file. This is useful when you need to reduce file size, meet upload requirements, improve playback compatibility, or extract just the sound from a video.

For example:

  • Convert a MOV file to MP4 to upload it to a website that doesn’t support MOV.

  • Convert a large MKV video to a compressed WEBM version to save storage space.

  • Extract audio from a video by converting MP4 to MP3 for podcast or voiceover use.

How to Convert Video Files in AI Studios

Step 1: Find the Video Converter Tool

Go to the AI Studios dashboard, click on the Tools tab, then select Video Converter from the list of available features.

Step 2: Upload the File You Want to Convert

Click the upload button and select the video file from your device.

You can convert:

  • A video file to another video format

  • A video file to an audio format (if you only need the sound)

Step 3: Choose the File Format

Once the file is uploaded, use the “Convert to...” dropdown to select the desired output format. Choose a format that fits your platform or editing needs.

Video File Formats:
MP4, WEBM, MOV, AVI, MKV, WMV, MPEG, MPG

Audio File Formats:
OPUS, TS, MP3, WAV, FLAC, WMA, AAC, M4A

Step 4: Select the Video Resolution (Optional)

Video resolution refers to the dimensions of the video frame and affects visual quality and file size. Higher resolutions provide better clarity but result in larger files.

Options available in AI Studios:

  • 1920 × 1080 (Full HD)

  • 1280 × 720 (HD)

  • 854 × 480 (SD)

  • 640 × 360 (Low resolution)

You can also choose to keep the resolution the same as the original video file.

Step 5: Select the Audio Bitrate (Optional)

Bitrate affects the audio quality and file size.

Available options: 64 kbps to 320 kbps

  • Use lower bitrates (e.g., 64–128 kbps) for smaller files or voice-only audio

  • Use higher bitrates (e.g., 192–320 kbps) for music or high-quality sound

You can also leave this setting on Auto.

Step 6: Select the Sample Rate (Optional)

Sample rate determines how many times per second audio is captured.

Available options: 8000 Hz to 48000 Hz

  • 8000–16000 Hz for voice or phone-quality audio

  • 44100 Hz is standard for music

  • 48000 Hz is common in video production

You can also leave this setting on Auto.

Step 7: Convert the File

Once all your settings are selected, click the Convert button. AI Studios will process your file based on your preferences.

Step 8: Download the Converted File

After the conversion is complete, click the Download button to save your file to your device. You can then choose to convert another file if needed.
