The Audio Converter changes an audio file into another audio format, such as FLAC to MP3 or WAV to AAC. This doc shows how to upload a file, choose the output settings, and download the converted file.
Upload your audio file
To open the Audio Converter and add a file:
In the left menu of the dashboard, click
Apps.Under
Tools, clickAudio Converter.Click
Upload a fileand select an audio file, or drag and drop the file onto the page.
Note: You can upload MP3, WAV, FLAC, WMA, AAC, and M4A files. To get the sound from a video file, use the Video Converter instead.
💡 Tip: To pick a different file, click Replace File.
Choose the output settings
To set how the converted file is made:
In
Convert to..., choose the output format: MP3, WAV, FLAC, WMA, AAC, or M4A.In
Audio Bitrate, choose a value from 64 kbps to 320 kbps, or leave it onAuto.In
Sample Rate, choose a value from 8000 Hz to 48000 Hz, or leave it onAuto.
The settings also have:
Audio Bitrate: A lower bitrate makes a smaller file. A higher bitrate keeps more detail, which helps for music.
Sample Rate: How many times per second the sound is sampled. A higher rate keeps more detail.
Note: Choose the format first. When you change the format, Audio Bitrate and Sample Rate go back to Auto.
Note: Some bitrate and sample rate options are grayed out for some formats. Choose another value or format.
Convert and download
To get the converted file:
Click
Convert. The file is converted in a short while.When
Download for free!appears, clickDownloadto save the file to your device.
💡 Tip: To convert another file, click Convert another audio.
FAQ
Does the Audio Converter use credits?
No. Converting a file doesn't use credits.
Can I convert several files at once?
No. The converter handles one file at a time.
Why did my conversion fail?
Wait a moment and try again. The file may be too large or damaged, or it may have a setting that blocks conversion, such as password protection. If it keeps failing, contact support.
How long does a conversion take?
A short file usually takes less than a minute. Larger files take longer.
